To put into perspective how big our cat REALLY is...here is Gus next to our 3 year old.

Wow. That is ... wow.
OMOG!! That's the biggest cat I ever saw! I have a friend with Maine cooncats that I thought were big, but yours dwarfs them. He looks like a possible guard-cat, is he trained to growl at intruders?
You wouldn't think he'd be a mouser at his size, but he caught a little mole in the house (ewww!) and leaped several feet off the ground in pursuit of a bat flying in the kitchen (double ewww! That's what I get for buying an old farm house!).
He's also the MOST loving cat I've EVER known--he melts everyone's heart instantly. You can also hear him purring a block away ;)
OH MY WORD. That cat is huge.
